Arrived at Crieff Hydro Hotel at just after 1:30pm on Monday.
We were allocated room 104 which was a family room with a king size bed, a single bed and plenty of seating.
Spent some time looking through all the information booklets and the daily newsletter which shows the events for the day.
The “imonday” said they were showing a film in the cinema room that evening called “Gravity”, so wdecided to go and watch.
It was good, we had the whole cinema to ourselves although the seats were a bit uncomfortable.
The following day we got up early to beat the breakfast rush.
Breakfast is served in the Meikle Restaurant and is a buffet style, there’s plenty of choice.
You can help yourself to as much as you want, there is cooked breakfast, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, hams, croissants and fruit juices.
After breakfast we went to The Hub, which is a relaxed style cafe where you can also hire the sports equipment.
We had a little go at tennis although I didn’t have much stamina, only managed to play for about 20 minutes!
Sat in the Hub for a whilst recovering with a drink and watching the comings and goings of a conference that was going on.
We then decided to have a game of bowls, it was brilliant! Really enjoyed the game, finally found something i’m good at.
The Garden Terrace
Went for another much earned rest in the Garden Terrace and had a hot chocolate and cake whilst sat on the balcony overlooking the bowling green. The sun was blaring, it was so hot!
The Golf Centre
Decided to go for a walk through the woods, it’s about a mile to the golf driving range where Pete had a good go whilst i messed about making Vine videos.
Finally got back to our room at 3:30pm tired out so we ordered room service for the first time ever (burger & chips) … lovely.
The Victorian Spa
Spent the evening in the Crieff Hydro Victorian Spa, its lovely in there at night all warm and lit up to help you relax. I love the steam room and the Jacuzzi.
I woke up the next morning stiff and achy… who said exercise is good for you!
We then took a 4 hour car journey to the Yorkshire Dales where we stayed at a farmhouse with fab views, click here to read more.
Alternatively 3 hours away is the Lake District National Park which I highly recommend. Click here to read more.
